① Product Description
The first time I held this bowl, I caught my breath at the depth of its emerald green.
A free-blown oval bowl by Seiichirou Inamine, hand-shaped at Chūfuki Glass Kōbō Niji in Yomitan Village. Tiny bubbles are suspended across the entire surface — the studio's signature Awa Glass — giving the body a rough, almost mineral texture, as if it had been scooped up from the floor of the deep sea. The color shifts between emerald green and turquoise blue depending on the angle of the light, like a small piece of the Okinawan ocean carrying its own weather.
Look closer. A subtly deepened line traces the rim. A brighter turquoise opens up across the interior. Each detail carries the careful breath of the maker, giving the bowl a warmth that feels almost alive.
This is Ryukyu Glass — Okinawa's hand-blown glass craft — and this piece sits at its full expressive scale. You could fill it with fruit, or with a few wagashi sweets. You could place it in an entryway or on a shelf as an object. But honestly? Sometimes simply setting it on a table and looking at it is enough.
Each piece is one of a kind. No two will ever share the same color or the same shape.

⑤ Origin

⑥ Handmade Note
Each piece is one-of-a-kind. Slight variations in color, bubbles, texture, and shape are a natural part of the hand-blowing process — and part of its charm. No two oval bowls will share the same outline.
⑦ Care Instructions
Hand wash only with mild soap and a soft cloth. Not microwave safe. Not dishwasher safe. Avoid sudden temperature changes — never pour boiling liquid or place in a freezer. Hand-blown Ryukyu Glass is more delicate than mass-produced glassware; handle with care.
