① Product Description
The moment I picked up this plate, I felt something hard to describe — a sense of familiarity, and yet something completely new at the same time.
On a creamy, sand-flecked surface born from Okinawan soil, a flowing arabesque of flowers and vines dances freely in cool blue-gray. The brushwork isn't perfectly symmetrical — and that's exactly what makes it feel so alive. Each line was drawn freehand, in a single breath, by a maker who has spent years learning when to commit and when to let go. A deep iron-glaze rim frames the whole piece with quiet confidence, giving the plate a presence that holds whatever you set on it.
At about 21 cm across — a traditional 7-sun plate — it works beautifully however you use it: piled high with a main course, or laid simply with a few careful bites of appetizer. It holds the quality I love most in yachimun: a rustic honesty that suddenly catches the light and takes your breath away.
A little piece of Okinawa, brought quietly to your everyday table. Why not let your next main plate be one that knows how to dance?
