① Product Description
The first time I held this bowl, my fingertip was already tracing the carved lines without me noticing.
Crafted by the artisans at Ikutouen, this generous flare bowl is hand-carved with a flowing karakusa arabesque. Curling leaves, fanning fronds, spiraling shells — each line cut one by one into the soft cream clay. Where the carving dips, soft shadows form, and the surface takes on a quiet sense of movement, as if the botanical pattern is gently breathing.
At the center sits a raised circular platform, almost like a small stage — and anything you place there feels intentional, considered, framed. A single peach. A spoonful of mousse. A handful of olives. The bowl does half the styling work for you.
Cream is usually a color that steps back. But this cream doesn't. Depending on the light, the carved grooves shift the tone, adding warmth and depth that you don't notice all at once — you keep discovering it. Simple at first glance, more beautiful every time.
Perfect for salads, pasta, fruit, or whatever the day calls for. It's the kind of bowl you'll reach for without thinking, and never regret reaching for.
