① Product Description
A rich charcoal-brown glaze, sweeping arabesque vines drawn in white slip — moving across the surface like wild botanicals in the wind. A terracotta-red ring blooms softly toward the center. The moment I noticed that subtle gradation of color — something only a handcrafted piece can hold — I was caught.
The white lines are drawn one at a time, by hand, using a technique called itchin: the potter squeezes clay slip through a fine nozzle, slowly tracing each curve. No printing, no transfer. Just patience, and a steady hand.
It's a piece that looks beautiful whether you serve food on it or simply set it out on its own. It pairs naturally with Japanese cooking, but it also welcomes a small arrangement of cheese and dried fruit, or a few pieces of seasonal sashimi. Placed quietly on an everyday table, even the simplest meal starts to feel a little more considered.
The sturdy footed base gives it a grounded presence — it doesn't slide, doesn't tip. One piece that changes the entire feeling of a meal.
Why not let your next plate be one that turns dinner into a small ceremony?
