① Product Description
When I first saw this teapot, I thought: it looks like something carved from stone. The faceted body — shaped into clean, angled planes — catches the light differently with every small turn. The matte white glaze settles into each face quietly, shifting from warm to cool depending on how you look at it. Ceramic, but with the quiet presence of architecture.
The handle arches up and over, left unglazed — warm cream clay against the cool white body. Two textures, two temperatures, one gentle conversation. In Okinawa, this kind of teapot is called a chuukaa, and the arched overhead handle is one of its quiet signatures.
Brewing tea in this pot slows time down. Even on a rushed morning, just holding it makes me breathe a little deeper. Pour green tea, hojicha, or sanpin — Okinawa's beloved jasmine tea — and watch the steam rise gently from the spout.
The kind of piece you reach for not just to make tea, but to begin the day with intention. Why not let your next morning begin with something carved from quiet?
